Brent Bozell, founder and president of the Media Research Center, has come out swinging at Harvey Weinstein, saying the movie mogul is guilty of chronic Catholic bashing in the films he releases.
"Harvey Weinstein is one of these Hollywood types who has a visceral hatred of Catholics," Bozell told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.
"[He] looks for every opportunity to do with Catholics what would never in a million years be ever suggested be done with Muslims," Bozell said Monday.

Weinstein's latest film is "Philomena," based on the true story of a woman's search for her son, who was taken away by the Catholic Church decades earlier after she became pregnant and was forced to live in a convent.
The PG-13 tearjerker, which stars Oscar winner Judi Dench and comic Steve Coogan, has been criticized for its negative portrayal of the church.
Bozell says it follows a consistent pattern for Weinstein.
"Whether it's a movie like "Dogma," with the Magdalene sisters, or "Priest," the theme is one of hateful anti-Catholicism," he said.
"As if there's some kind of market out there that's demanding it, and that's the one thing that really troubles me. There is no market demanding it."
