Jimmy McMillan: 'People Have Been Told Lies' About GOP

The Republican Party has been hit with a bad rap which is completely undeserved, according to Jimmy McMillan, founder of The Rent is Too Damn High Party and a New York gubernatorial candidate.

"I’m a registered Republican because I would not want to be a Democrat," McMillan said Thursday in an interview with Steve Malzberg on Newsmax TV.

"People have been told lies about the Republican Party…. Everyone is being scared the Republican Party is the party not to vote for and they are against the country.

"All that information is false. President Barack Obama [and] the Democrats are the worst."

McMillan's party was founded in 2005 on the platform that rents in the New York City were out of control and needed to be reduced to improve the economy.
