"President Obama's leadership style and his reaction to [Iraq] has [involved] a lot of analysis, a little cautious and in some instances that's helped him, — the Osama Bin Laden [situation], when they targeted him and in other instances," he explained.

But the President of the Fletcher Rowley media firm, which does work on Democratic advertising campaigns said that "if I was giving him advice as a Democratic advisor or any advisor" he would tell him to start by "communicating more strength and decisiveness."

These things are "important from a communications standpoint, a public relations standpoint, from a policy standpoint and for sending the message around the world."

"Where there's conflict and war and people are dying, we all would like to see a swift, simple solution," Rowley added.
