Democrats are falsely claiming that the Supreme Court's decision favoring Hobby Lobby's stand against paying for some contraceptives for employees means female workers are no longer covered for birth control, says Debra Saunders, a San Francisco Chronicle columnist.

"In 2012, the Obama administration came up with a politically brilliant idea: frame the issue of birth control as an issue of access … that birth control was preventive care and hence it should be free,'' she told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"So when the court ruled as it did, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg said this was going to deny legions of women who do not hold their employers' religious beliefs access to contraceptive coverage.

"And access means free … Democrats just started using the word and everybody repeated it and so if you listen to them … you think, wow, women can't get birth control? That's horrible! But it's not really true. Hobby Lobby's owners are more than happy to provide all but four of the 16 FDA approved methods of birth control — four they consider abortifacients.''
