Dean Obeidallah to Santorum: Keep Making Movies, Not Policy

Wednesday, 02 Jul 2014 06:14 PM

Former Sen. Rick Santorum shouldn't be using images of Nazi Germany in his new film about religious freedom and the Hobby Lobby case, says Dean Obeidallah, a comedian and columnist for The Daily Beast.

"You're diluting the horrors of the Holocaust if you bring up Nazis when it's not about that,'' Obeidallah told "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"I am so much happier Rick Santorum is making movies and not making policy,'' he said Wednesday.

Santorum, whose new movie is called "One Generation Away: The Erosion of Religious Liberty," is head of EchoLight Studios, which produces Christian and family-friendly movies.
