President Barack Obama is showing he's "disengaged" by continuing his vacation and being photographed playing golf after the Islamic State beheaded an American Journalist, political commentator Michael Reagan said on Newsmax TV
's "America's Forum."
"He doesn't understand perception and reality," Reagan said. "I understand that wherever the president of the United States is, he's got everything he needs to be in contact with anybody he wants to talk to around the globe. I understand that, but you've got to also understand perception. How do people perceive you when you're on a golf course when the world is falling apart around you?"

Reagan said his father, President Ronald Reagan, would have returned immediately, recalling how the elder Reagan canceled a family celebration in 1985 when U.S. Navy Seabee diver Robert Stethem
was killed by Hezbollah militants during the hijacking of a TWA commercial airliner.
British Prime Minister David Cameron, he added, canceled his holiday when he learned the executioner had a British accent. Cameron's move was reported earlier by The Telegraph.
"With Americans being killed in such a brutal way … the golf course is not where the president of the United States belongs," he said.
Reagan questioned why no one is asking where the IS, formerly known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), came from.
"Who trained ISIS?" he asked. "Where were they trained, and what were they supposed to do with that training? The reality is, it’s back almost to the Fast and Furious situation, where we supplied weapons to the cartels in Mexico end up killing a border guard. Isn't the United States of America the ones responsible for training ISIS in Jordan to go into Syria and take care of the problems in Syria, and now they've gone off the mark? Nobody wants to be responsible for those people we trained. They need not to be contained, they need to be killed.
"With this president, it's always been about him," Reagan said. "It's never been about us, it's been about him. That's why he can go play golf. We need a president whose elected that's about us, not about themselves."
