President Barack Obama is backtracking on his liberal immigration policies that encourage illegal immigrants to come to the United States, conservative radio host Kevin Jackson says.

"It’s typical Obama. They put out a policy that essentially encourages people to do the wrong thing, and then he wants to backtrack and say, 'Hey we're going to get really tough on it,''' Jackson, author of "The BIG Black Lie" told "The Steve Malzberg Show'' on Newsmax TV.

Jackson's comments came as the president said that children who cross the border illegally should be returned to their families, or placed with relatives who live in the United States.

Rick Ungar, a liberal, and co-host of "Steele & Ungar'' on SiriusXM, disagreed.

"It has nothing to do with back channeling … Do you have to vilify Obama even for tying his shoes?''
