A massive document leak of classified U.S. material contains a series of unflattering portraits of some of America’s closest allies, especially Great Britain. The documents from the website WikiLeaks contain an embarrassing' assessment of current Prime Minister David Cameron, and quotes American diplomats as describing former Prime Minister Gordon Brown as unstable, according to the Daily Mail.

Other secret dispatches obtained by WikiLeaks include requests for intelligence about specific British MPs. More than 250,000 damaging classified cables from US embassies have been revealed in the biggest intelligence leak in history.

Prince Andrew’s “rude” behavior when abroad has reportedly shocked officials in America.

And UK “failure” to secure Sangin is singled out in damaging criticism by US commanders of operations in Afghanistan.

Other unwelcome revelations include private remarks about Cameron and Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne’s “lack of depth”, made by Mervyn King, the governor of the Bank of England, to the US ambassador. The UK is also described as “paranoid” over its ‘special relationship’ with the US and it is suggested that keeping the Government “off-balance” about the relationship could work in America’s favor.
