Former GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum says RNC Chairman Reince Priebus is right to demand TV networks cancel planned movies on Hillary Clinton or risk not hosting Republican debates.

"Look, we already as Republicans allow the media to run over us," Santorum said Thursday on CNN's "Piers Morgan Live." Republicans allow moderators who will never vote for any of them to frame the debate, he said, adding, "Can you imagine a Democratic debate where Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and Glenn Beck were the moderators?"

Priebus has told CNN and NBC that the Republican National Committee will not sanction any debates on either network unless they pull a planned dramatic movie and documentary on Clinton, the presumed presidential hopeful who is leading by wide margins over other Democrats in early polling.

"None of these issues bother you too much when you're popping up on Fox, though," Morgan said, since it employs a number of conservative hosts.

"I'm not suggesting that Fox isn't the reverse of what we're experiencing on all these other major networks. I get that," Santorum said. "But with respect to the coverage and, obviously, this documentary, I think it seems like you're in the promotion business or advocacy instead of trying to promote the news."
