Vice President Joe Biden is concerned that his golf game will suffer if he makes a run for the presidency in 2016.

At the American Ireland Fund Gala in Washington, Irish Prime Minister Enda Kenny urged Biden to visit Ireland with his "golf sticks" and play a couple of rounds on the lush courses there, according to CNN.

Biden, who ran for president in 1988 and 2008, replied, "If you want to keep your handicap in golf, don't run for president. So I expect strokes."

The vice president, who was honored with a peace award at the event, had the audience wondering whether he was joking or if it meant he plans another run for the White House.

House Speaker John Boehner told "Tonight Show" host Jay Leno in January that he has no plans to run for the GOP presidential nomination in 2016 because he enjoys playing golf and drinking red wine too much to give them up to become president.
