Republican Party officials in Iowa are dismissing reports from voters that counting was flawed in Tuesday's caucuses.

A voter in Appanoose County told an Iowa TV station Thursday that there was a 20-vote discrepancy in his caucus's result and that reported by Iowa Republican Party officials, and that the difference would give Santorum a win in Iowa, the Hill reports.

"When Mitt Romney won Iowa by eight votes and I've got a 20-vote discrepancy here, that right there says Rick Santorum won Iowa," Edward True told KCCI TV. "Not Mitt Romney."

True is a Paul supporter. He said in his caucus (which had 53 people), Romney received just two votes. The Iowa GOP reported 22 votes.

Iowa Republican Chairman Matt Straw said there is a two-week process to certify votes but that "Iowa GOP officials have been in contact with Appanoose County Republican officials tonight and do not have any reason to believe the final, certified results of Appanoose County will change the outcome of Tuesday's vote."

Santorum told Fox News' "On the Record" Thursday evening that he had spoken with Straw and "there was one county where there was a 20-vote mistake in my favor, but there was a 21-vote mistake in Romney's favor. So it actually netted out to what I understand is a one-vote difference."

He has dismissed the issue saying he considers the Iowa caucuses a tie.
