White House National Security Adviser Susan Rice took to Twitter Monday night to slam Israeli officials who have openly criticized Secretary of State John Kerry for remarks suggesting Israel could face international boycotts if it failed to reach a peace deal with the Palestinians.

Hardliners in the government of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu attacked Kerry, with one describing his remarks as "offensive" and another accusing him of working "to amplify" the boycott threat.

Rice, the former UN Ambassador, called out the officials for their attack on Kerry, Breitbart reported.

"Personal attacks in Israel directed at Sec. Kerry totally unfounded and unacceptable," she tweeted.

Rice continued her offensive in several more tweets.

"John Kerry's record of support for Israel's security and prosperity rock solid," she wrote, followed by another tweet, "POTUS and Sec Kerry remain committed to negotiations that can secure Israeli and Palestinian futures."

In a final tweet, she added, "U.S. Govt has been clear and consistent that we reject efforts to boycott or delegitimize Israel."
