President Barack Obama's interview with comedian Zach Galifianakis was "a farce, and some believe it was demeaning," Fox News' Bill O'Reilly said Tuesday night.

The interview, for Galifianakis' spoof interview show "Between Two Ferns," was recorded two weeks ago, and put on the website FunnyOrDie.com on Tuesday. It has gone viral, and the White House attributed it to luring more young people to Healthcare.gov to sign up for insurance.

O'Reilly said he has no problem with the appearance in general, but thinks the timing hurts Obama since he ins under "intense scrutiny" over his handling of the Ukraine crisis and domestic issues.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sees Obama as a lightweight, he said. "Will a comedy video counter that?"

Also, he added, the Affordable Care Act is "dubious, to say the least" and using a comedic website to promote it is "a little bit desperate."

"I’m all for PR" O’Reilly said, but suggested that it might have been a better idea for press secretary Jay Carney to do the show.

"All I can tell is you is Abe Lincoln would not have done it," O'Reilly said.

"Mr. Obama is quick, has a good sense of humor, those are assets," he said. "But he needs to be aware … of how his enemies perceive him, because I believe the testing of America is just getting started."
