Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus thinks former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may have peaked early in any bid she may be considering for the White House.

"I think people are kind of tired of this show, quite frankly," Priebus said Sunday on ""Meet the Press." "There's Hillary fatigue already out there. It's setting in. People are tired of this story."

Clinton, like all the other expected candidates, has yet to announce any intentions for 2016, but early speculation has her leading for the Democratic nomination by a substantial margin.

Some, however, think she might be wearing out her welcome. She currently is promoting a memoir on her years in the Obama administration, and has made several gaffes promoting it, most notably about how she and former President Bill Clinton were "dead broke" when the left the White House.

Detractors pounced on that as proof she is out of touch with everyday Americans. Both Clintons command high speaking fees and admit they are doing quite well more than 13 years out of the Oval Office.

Such gaffes, in addition to an "early run" for the White House is "going to come back and bite them," Priebus told NBC's David Gregory.

But Gregory told Priebus his "fatigue" criticism sounds a little like former first lady Barbara Bush, who has said her son, Florida Gov. Jeb Bush shouldn't run for president because the nation is tired of Bushes in the White House.

"I don't think Jeb and the Bushes are being as obnoxious about all of this," Priebus responded. "I mean, you have Bill Clinton out there chastising Dick Cheney for speaking opinions while Bill Clinton is out there speaking about his opinions on every subject there is out there under the sun. These guys and hypocrites."
