Fox News talk show host Bill O'Reilly says the takeaway from his interview Sunday with President Barack Obama is that the president thinks he's doing a good job, and questions about Obamacare, the IRS controversy, and the Benghazi attack are an "annoyance" to him.

"He sees himself as doing a good job for the country. His vision is good. It will all work out. People will appreciate him down the line," O'Reilly said Tuesday on "Fox & Friends."

"It's an annoyance to him that I ask him questions, and that Fox News concentrates on these stories, because he himself doesn't believe they're important," he added.

O'Reilly described the president as "very self-assured" and said he continues his agenda despite polling that shows waning public support for his policies.

"He is a true believer in his policies. And, even though the country is now, according to the polling, turned against his policies, at least temporarily, he's staying the course," the Fox commentator said.

During the Super Bowl pregame interview Sunday, O'Reilly questioned Obama about the increase in Social Security disability enrollments and claimed it indicates the president is actually supporting a big government "nanny state."

Obama countered, saying it isn't true, as Republicans say, that his administration has "massively expanded the welfare state."

"He doesn't see this stuff as a welfare state. He sees it as necessary," O'Reilly said on "Fox & Friends."

During the interview, which aired in two parts, Obama repeatedly blamed Fox News for misrepresenting and misleading its viewers about issues and controversies confronting his presidency.

During the second part of the interview, which aired Monday on "The O'Reilly Factor," Obama was asked by O'Reilly if he thought the questioning had been unfair.

"Absolutely. Of course," the president responded.
