As of late yesterday, the Obama administration was insisting that the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Christopher Stevens was not planned in advance. But this ignores what is known from sources on the ground in Libya and from the Libyan government itself. Mounting evidence will likely force the Obama administration to reverse itself and admit that the attack, which occurred on the eleventh anniversary of 9-11, was not spontaneous but was in fact a pre-planned act of terrorism and a major failure of U.S. intelligence.
