Conservative Super PAC American Crossroads released a video mocking a nonprofit organization that allegedly allows donors to buy access to the president.

The YouTube video, titled “Organizing for Acce$$,” makes a sort of sales pitch for donations that it claims will lead to regular meetings with the president. It pokes fun at Organizing for Action, a nonprofit set up to promote the president's agenda, reports The Hill newspaper.

“Now there’s a whole new way to buy access to the president,” the video’s narrator says. “For just one easy payment of $500,000, you too can get the privilege of quarterly meetings with the president.”

Story continues below video.

The video, produced by American Crossroads, a political arm of Republican strategist Karl Rove, also takes a jab at Vice President Joe Biden. “Order now and we’ll throw in a private meeting with Vice President Joe Biden completely free. Or pay a million dollars and you don’t have to meet with Biden. Ever.”

Criticism of Organizing for Action, which is run by former Obama campaign officials, has continued to hound the administration. On Monday White House press secretary Jay Carney was forced to address the issue of the group's fundraising efforts, saying, “Any notion that there is a set price for a meeting with the president of the United States is just wrong.”

As Politico reported Tuesday, The Washington Post has criticized the organization's policy of giving top donors positions on an advisory board that will regularly meet with the president, calling it “behavior that has become all too common . . . and carries more than a whiff of influence peddling.”

The New York Times also said the advisory board was “nothing more than a fancy way of setting a price to access Mr. Obama.”

Despite the criticism, Carney indicated the president had no plans to shutter the group, calling its existence “perfectly appropriate.”
