Bloomberg Urges Hillary to Run for NY Mayor

New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg called Secretary of State Hillary Clinton months ago and suggested she run for mayor of New York City, adding that she would be a perfect fit, The New York Times reports.

Bloomberg allegedly called her and encouraged her but the overture, the Times wrote, is reflective of Bloomberg's concern about the current crop of candidates to replace him and his efforts to recruit a replacement who can fill his shoes.

Clinton told Bloomberg she was not interested.
