The whole region is “fed up” with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, and if he continues to overplay his hand a major war is possible, Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said on Sunday

If a South Korean naval vessel is sunk this year, as has happened in the past, “I think the new president of South Korea would be compelled to act,” Graham said on “Meet the Press.” It will not, he said, “be business as usual by South Korea.”

The United States will back its ally, Graham said, and will crush the communist country if it provokes the South into action.

“The North loses and the South wins with our help,” Graham said. “That’s what happens.”

He added, “They’re going to pay a heavy price.”
