No president, not even Jimmy Carter, has done the kind of irrevocable damage to American interests — at home and abroad — as Barack Obama, writes Dennis Prager, the syndicated radio talk-show host and columnist.
"I have been broadcasting for 31 years and writing for longer than that. I do not recall ever saying on radio or in print that a president is doing lasting damage to our country
," Prager laments in his Oct. 29 syndicated column. In Obama's case the "only question is whether this can ever be undone."
The buck stops nowhere in this administration, writes Prager. For instance, when his ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were killed, the White House took no responsibility.
Economically, Obama has "overseen the weakest recovery from a recession in modern American history" and "mired the country in unprecedented levels of debt." He employs classic Marxist language to divide the country, lambasting "the rich" and "corporate profits."

Politically, he has been a force for divisiveness, railroading through his signature healthcare plan against the wishes of the entire Republican opposition. One result is that increasing numbers of Americans will be unable to keep their private or employee-sponsored group health insurance, writes Prager.
Within American society, rather than being a racial healer, he has parroted the ideas of demagogues, Prager says.
In foreign affairs, not since World War I has America had less military or diplomatic influence in global affairs. Foes do not fear this president. Allies have no faith in him, Prager writes.
"Even non-democratic allies no longer trust America," Prager says, citing Egypt and Saudi Arabia as examples.
"Virtually nothing Barack Obama has done has left America or the world better since he became president," Prager concluded. "Nearly everything he has touched has been made worse."
