The 22nd Annual Movieguide Awards will air on Saturday on Reelz, and will include "Son of God" producing duo, husband and wife team Mark Burnett and actress Roma Rowney, as presenters.
The awards gala recognizes and honors faith-based movies and television programming in several categories, including Best Family Film, Best Mature Audience Film, Faith and Freedom Award Movies, and Faith and Freedom Award Television.
In addition to the awards presentations, the broadcast will feature performances by Billy Ray Cyrus and others.
Reelz, launched in 2006, is a digital TV channel available via satellite and on many cable TV systems. Its slogan is "Hollywood Happens Here."
The awards presentation airs on Saturday at 2 p.m. Eastern.
The day before the awards show, Burnett and Downey's movie "Son of God" will be released nationwide.
The film coprises footage from the couple's 10-part miniseries "The Bible," which aired last year along with unseen material. The series' two-hour finale attracted some 13 million viewers and became the History Channel's most-watched show.
Burnett has produced such popular reality shows as "Survivor," "The Apprentice," "Shark Tank," and "The Voice."
Burnett and Downey, the movie's producers, said in a statement that "Son of God" is "a story of Jesus for a whole new generation."
Their miniseries "The Bible" has been nominated for a Movieguide Award in the Epiphany Prize Television category.
