TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran's nuclear chief says the country's first nuclear power plant has been loaded up with fuel required before it can go on line.

Ali Akbar Salehi says it will take another month or two before the 1,000-megawatt light-water reactor at Bushehr begins pumping electricity to Iranian cities.

Salehi's announcement was reported by the semi-official Fars news agency on Saturday.

The fueling up process started in August.

Bushehr is not part of Iran's nuclear program that is a source of serious concern to the West, which suspects Tehran of trying to produce an atomic bomb.

Iran denies the program is geared toward anything other than the production of energy.
