Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says American officials are evaluating the latest developments in the legal case in Egypt against 16 American democracy advocates.

An Egyptian court on Sunday delayed the trial until late April. The workers are charged with operating without a license and using illegal foreign funds to foment unrest. Seven of the Americans have been banned from leaving Egypt.

Clinton said at a news conference in Morocco that it's "a fluid situation and there are a lot of moving parts." She said U.S. officials are still evaluating what happened in the Cairo courtroom.

The case has strained U.S.-Egyptian relations. American officials have threatened to cut off $1.5 billion in aid if the dispute is not resolved.
