Chuck Woolery - Biography
Chuck Woolery has been a Hollywood personality for more than four decades as a recording artist, actor and, most notably, as a legendary host of such game shows as “Wheel of Fortune,” “The Dating Game,” “Love Connection,” and “Lingo.”
As a Navy veteran, Woolery has held conservative political views for most of his life. He did not share these views publicly due to the pervading liberal atmosphere in the entertainment industry. However, recent outrages taking place in government — Congress especially — have made Chuck speak out as a humorous but serious political commentator.
His political metamorphosis started with his satirical videos on his web site SaveusChuckWoolery.com. It was named for the famous scene from “Star Wars” where Princess Leah says “save us Obi Wan you’re our only hope.” Many of his videos have gone viral with his video on proposed budget cuts well past three million views.
Woolery’s latest project is his “Save Us Chuck Radio Minute,” a daily, nationally syndicated one-minute show in which he offers humor and insight on political issues, history, and current events. With his show, he seeks to engage and entertain his audience, while exposing government corruption and spreading the truth that is often edited out of the mainstream media.
Woolery is cofounder with Mark Young of a PAC called Restart Congress aimed at ending the tenure of life-time Congress people. He is a frequent guest on Fox News, Glenn Beck, Sean Hannity and many conservative radio shows as well as being an invited speaker at the 2012 CPAC convention in Washington, D.C.
Not one to back down from a debate, Woolery has done interviews with the liberal media while at the Republican National Convention with Geraldo, Huffington Post and others.
His daily insights on Twitter are garnering new followers at the rate of 5,000 per week.
Woolery has now added Newsmax contributor to his recent but prolific political resume.
