The presidential campaign of former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman has failed to get high off the ground so far. But he is receiving an endorsement from a major national figure — Tom Ridge, Homeland Security secretary under President George W. Bush, according to New Hampshire’s UnionLeader.com
. Ridge also was governor of Pennsylvania.
Huntsman is announcing Ridge’s backing in an event in Goffstown, N.H. Friday.
“I know Jon to be a serious, insightful leader who will bring together people from across the political spectrum to solve the many challenges we face, both at home and around the world,” Ridge said in a statement.
