Conservative radio talk show king Rush Limbaugh doesn’t think much of criticism that Massachusetts Democratic Senate candidate Elizabeth Warren recently laid on Republicans for their opposition to tax increases on the wealthy, Roll Call
In a video from earlier this month that went viral on the Web last week, Warren said, “There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody! You built a factory out there? Good for you! But I want to be clear: You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for. You hired workers the rest of us paid to educate. You built a factory, and it turned into something terrific or a great idea: God bless! Keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along.”
Limbaugh would have none of it. Warren is “a parasite” and “an arrogant, condescending, conceited snob who has profound resentment,” he said. “The government doesn’t have any money until it takes it from people first. It all starts with the business. Without the business, there is no revenue to build a road.”
