Political analyst and Republican Party strategist Roger Stone says Democratic Gov. Jon Corzine lost his bid for re-election in New Jersey because several parts of the state machine "hate him."

"A number of the big-city Democratic machines are giving lip service to Corzine, but sitting down on the job today because they hate him," Stone told Newsmax.

According to Stone, the Bergen County Democratic organization is deeply divided on Corzine, who was defeated Tuesday by Republican challenger Chris Christie. Middlesex County's Democratic organization "hates Jon Corzine [and is] sitting down on the job," he said, adding that the Essex County organization "doesn't like Jon Corzine."

According to Stone: "He's being undermined by the machine because they don't really like him."
