WASHINGTON - President Barack Obama will speak Wednesday via video conference with Afghanistan's President Hamid Karzai and has yet to decide on the pace of U.S. troop withdrawals from the country, the White House said Monday.

White House spokesman Jay Carney said Obama will decide relatively soon on the pace of the troop drawdown, which is to begin in July.

Obama discussed Afghanistan and Pakistan with senior advisers for two hours Monday.
