On the heels of yet another depressing unemployment report, a Zogby International poll shows that a majority of Americans are losing patience with the Obama administration’s inability to stimulate job growth.

The poll asked: Please tell us how effective you think the Obama administration has been in using stimulus money to create jobs for the small business community.

Results provided exclusively to Newsmax show that 57 percent of the 2,061 voters surveyed June 25-28 said the Obama administration has been ineffective, while a sizable 47 percent said the administration has been “not at all effective” in creating jobs. Just 39 percent of voters said the administration’s use of stimulus money to create jobs has been effective.

A strong majority of independent voters (60 percent) say the Obama administration has been ineffective at creating jobs, and 50 percent of independents say it’s been “not at all effective.” Only 36 percent of independents think the administration has been effective in creating jobs.

Just over 50 percent of voters ages 18-29 also say the White House has been ineffective at stimulating job growth, while 44 percent say it has been effective.

Among voters who had to pay taxes last year, 59 percent say that the Obama administration has been ineffective, and just 38 percent say otherwise. As for voters who did not have any tax liability last year (because of either low income or numerous tax deductions), 49 percent say the administration has been ineffective, and 42 percent say it has been effective.

An overwhelming 90 percent of tea party followers say Obama and his team have been ineffective at creating jobs, including 86 percent who say the White House has been “not at all effective.” Only 8 percent of tea party followers say the administration has been effective.

Nearly 61 percent of small business owners think that the administration has been ineffective at job creation, including 52 percent who say it has been “not at all effective,” while just 35 percent say the administration has been effective.

“The unemployment numbers don’t lie and neither to these poll numbers,” said Brad O’Leary, publisher of The O’Leary Report. “Most voters recognize that this is the Obama administration’s unemployment crisis and that the White House has yet to do anything positive on the job creation front.”

The poll has a margin of error of plus-or-minus 2.2 percentage points.
