It is with sadness that Newsmax Media Inc. notes the passing of Gen. Alexander M. Haig Jr. Gen. Haig had served on the company's advisory board since 2001.

"Few people could claim the enormous breadth of experience of General Haig," Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy said. "From his days on the staff of General Douglas MacArthur, to his active role in private business and public affairs until almost to the day he died, Al Haig always worked to make America a better, stronger and safer place. Our country was paramount in his life."
