The Republican establishment in Delaware, which has backed Rep. Mike Castle in his Senate primary campaign against insurgent Christine O’Donnell, maintains that its charge will win Tuesday’s mike, castle, christine,o'donnell, delawareelection, Politico.com reports. A Public Policy Polling survey taken over the weekend showed O’Donnell in front by three points.

But Republican National Committeewoman Priscilla Rakestraw says Castle has rebounded over the past few days, thanks to increased attention on O’Donnell.

"The phones this afternoon and tonight were totally different,” she told Politico late Monday. “People were much more willing to talk and much more forthcoming. Democrats were even asking how they could help, and I told them to call their Republican friends. The mood seems different."
