McCarthy's 'Grand Jihad' NY Times Best-seller

Monday, 14 Jun 2010 01:30 PM

Former federal prosecutor Andy McCarthy’s new book “The Grand Jihad” has reached No. 18 on the New York Times list of nonfiction best sellers.

McCarthy prosecuted blind Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman and other jihadists for the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center, and is co-chairman of the Center for Law and Counterterrorism at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies in Washington, D.C.

In his book “The Grand Jihad: How Islam and the Left Sabotaged America,” McCarthy warns that supposedly nonviolent Islamists and the global Islamist movement pose a greater danger to democracy and freedom than do terrorists.

And in a recent interview with Newsmax.TV, McCarthy asserted that President Barack Obama is the “ideal partner” for the global Islamist movement, which has more in common with the radical left than might be imagined.

“Islamists now have an administration that’s wants to be perceived as friendly to not just Islam at large, but to the Islamist movement,” McCarthy said.
McCarthy’s book has also reached No. 11 on Amazon.com’s list of best sellers in the Politics category.

Conservative columnist Michelle Malkin wrote of the book: "Do you care about the survival of our country? Then you must read this book.

“Every American must understand how the Grand Jihad of the Muslim Brotherhood and the Western civilization-undermining agenda of the Revolutionary Left operate in deadly sync.”
