SD Kristi Noem Garners Huge Support

Tuesday, 12 Oct 2010 02:28 PM

Republican South Dakota congressional candidate Kristi Noem is attracting significant financial support in her effort to defeat Democratic Rep. Stephanie Herseth Sandlin next month. Noem’s campaign announced Monday that it raised $1.1 million in the third quarter, Roll Call reports. She began October with a $777,000 war chest to take down Sandlin.

“South Dakotans have overwhelmingly responded to our message with their support both in terms of volunteering their time and investing their resources,” Noem said in a statement. “With their continued support, I am confident we will have the resources we need to run strong and win.” As of Saturday, the National Republican Congressional Committee had spent $333,000 on Noem.
