Newsmax’s 10th anniversary cruise, set for June of 2009, is shaping up to be a blockbuster event.
The latest famous personality to join the growing roster of guest hosts for the cruise is none other than former Secretary of State Alexander Haig.
“General Haig is one of the most knowledgeable men on the political and business scene today,” Newsmax CEO Christopher Ruddy says. “Our guests will have a unique opportunity to meet and hear from one of the truly wise men of the country.” In addition to serving as Ronald Reagan’s secretary of state, Gen. Haig earned four stars in the U.S. Army.
A West Point graduate, he began his military career serving on the staff of Gen. Douglas MacArthur in Japan. Over six decades, Gen. Haig has had a stellar career in the Army, in government, and in business. He went on to serve as chief of staff to the president and later as supreme allied commander of NATO. He also served as chairman of United Technologies and was the founding director of AOL.
Also joining Gen. Haig for this once-in-a-lifetime cruise will be Dick Morris, a Fox News analyst, political guru, and best-selling author.
Guests aboard the 12-day Mediterranean cruise that begins June 7, 2009 in Rome and ends — after visiting seven countries — in London, will be free to attend Newsmax’s “Seminars at Sea,” to explore topics such as the hottest political issues, opportunities in financial markets, and life-enhancing strategies for better health.
The guest host committee will be led by Christopher Ruddy of Newsmax Media, Inc. as well as legendary talk-radio host Bob Grant, and Steve Crowley, former Good Morning America money editor and host of American Scene Radio, the No. 1 investment show on radio. Newsmax has also assembled a team of the nation’s leading alternative medicine doctors led by nationally recognized expert Russell Blaylock, M.D., editor of Newsmax’s Blaylock Wellness Report.
Guests will sail aboard the six-star luxury Crystal Symphony. Crystal Cruises has been named “Best Large-Ship Line” for the past 13 years in readers’ surveys conducted by Conde Nast Traveler and Travel & Leisure magazines. In addition to Rome and London, ports of call include Porto Venere, Italy; Monte Carlo, Monaco; Barcelona and Bilbao, Spain; Tangiers, Morocco; Lisbon, Portugal; and Bordeaux, France.
