Author: New Memoir Enhances GOP, Bush Dynasty

Former President George W. Bush’s new memoir "Decision Points," will provide a significant boost to the Republican Party and the Bush political dynasty, says Russ Baker, author of “Family of Secrets: The Bush Dynasty.” The new book “is not your typical post-presidency george,bush,memoir,decision,pointsimage-buffing job,” Baker writes in Politico.

“It is part of a larger effort to reposition Republicans, including possibly the next generation of Bushes, for future ascension to the Oval Office. That might have seemed unlikely a few months ago. But the Republican victories last week gave it cred.”

It’s no accident that Bush operative Karl Rove played a key role in the Republican election sweep last week, Baker says. “Congressional victories in place, one big roadblock remains -- the legacy of George W. Bush.”
