Fox News said Thursday that it will not cover the burning of Korans by a radical minister in Gainesville, Florida on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. So far, Fox is the only network that has announced it will not cover the desecration of Islam’s holiest book, The Baltimore Sun reported. The other major networks – CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC and CBS – haven’t even grappled with the issue.

The news comes as a host of notables across the political spectrum have called on the minister, the Rev. Terry Jones, to cease with his planned book burning.

"We do not cover every flag burning that happens in this country. We don't run every hostage tape," Michael Clemente, senior vice president at Fox News, said in a phone interview with the Sun Thursday. "If we tried to cover everyone who wants us to stick a camera in front of them, we'd run out of cameras pretty fast each day. But this is really about just using some judgment."
