WP's Broder Blasts Colleagues for Anti-Obama Stories

The Washington Post’s David Broder lit into fellow columnist Dana Milbank and other staffers Thursday for publishing stories that suggested President Obama was a weak president and was being propped up by chief of staff Rahm Emanuel.

Broder’s highly unusual screed – columnists at newspapers rarely take on their colleagues in such an open fashion – bashed Milbank for his analysis of the situation and suggested he was clueless as to what was really going on.

The real story, Broder wrote, was that a frustrated Emanuel merely vented to some friends in Congress about a rough year. He wasn’t intentionally trying to usurp his boss; it just came out that way because of the inept reporting of the Post staffers.
