Sales of Donald J. Trump’s hot new political book,
Time to Get Tough, are soaring, with Amazon selling out of its inventory in just the first week, and rushing to order more from the publisher to stay in stock for holiday buyers.
“We are thrilled with the early success of Mr. Trump’s book,” said Marji Ross, president of Regnery, “but not at all surprised. Mr. Trump has ignited the country with his no-nonsense talk about the future of our country, and people are really responding. Mr. Trump did a book signing in the atrium of Trump Tower on Friday, and it was standing room only — he signed books for more than three hours, and he could have signed for three more!
“Amazon sold several thousand copies in just the first week, as have all the other major retailers across the country. We are being flooded with reorders, and the stores are telling us this is one of the hottest Christmas gifts among all their books.”
Trump has been touted as a presidential candidate, and led GOP polls earlier this year. But he bowed out to renew his contract with his hit TV show "The Apprentice."
Trump says today his main priority is to back a Republican candidate who can defeat President Barack Obama in the 2012 election.
