President Barack Obama is intervening in Wisconsin’s policy debate, and the state’s GOP Gov. Scott Walker isn’t happy about it, Politico reports. Obama is taking the side of state employees, as Walker seeks to take away some of their collective bargaining rights in an effort to balance the budget.

Obama has deployed his political operation to support the public employees.
