Senate Majority Whip Dick Durbin, D-Ill., is calling on Rep. Joe Sestak, D-Pa., to answer questions regarding reports that he was offered a position in the Obama administration in return for dropping out of the Senate race in Pennsylvania.

Durbin wants Sestak to elaborate on his stated claim that the White House made him an offer contingent upon backing off his primary challenge to Arlen Specter, D-Pa.

"At some point, I think Congressman Sestak needs to make clear what happened," Durbin told Capitol reporters, according to The Hill newspaper.
