Many conservatives are unhappy with how Democrats have tried to make political hay over last Saturday’s tragic shootings in Tucson, Ariz. Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., is one of them, The Hill reports.
“These are the kind of things that I think some on the left decided to manufacture even before the events occur,” Paul tells Fox Business Network. “I mean, this is part of the playbook of Rahm Emanuel [former White House chief of staff], where they say any crisis should be used to their advantage to further their agenda."
Paul says he’s not surprised to see Democrats attack conservatives for their strong stances. "I do think [Democrats] should be ashamed of themselves for doing it, and it really just has no place in this discussion."
