Perry Campaign Says Bachmann Ad is False

Rick Perry's GOP presidential campaign charges that a new ad put up in South Carolina by a pro-Michele Bachmann "superPAC" this past week is "blatantly false," according to a report by CNN.

perry bachmann adThe campaign blasted the ad as misrepresenting the governor's fiscally conservative record in his state. The 30-second spot takes aim at Perry over his state record:

"Rick Perry's spending more money than the state takes in, covering his deficits with record borrowing. And he's supposed to be the tea party guy?" the ad says. "There is an honest conservative, and she's not Rick Perry."
