President Barack Obama criticized Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry for his harsh criticism of Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke Tuesday. And the Texas governor hit back at Obama Wednesday, The Hill reports.

"I'd just like to respond, if I may: Mr. President, actions speak louder than words,” Perry said at a New Hampshire campaign breakfast that was broadcast online. “My actions as governor are helping to create jobs in this country. This president's actions are killing jobs in this country."

Perry had said that additional increases in the money supply by Bernanke would be "almost treasonous."

Responding to a question Wednesday, Perry said, "I got in trouble talking about the Federal Reserve yesterday. I got lectured about that yesterday."
