Sarah Palin Tweets Newsmax Story on Obamacare Waivers

Tuesday, 08 Mar 2011 01:27 PM

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin tweeted a Newsmax story about Obamacare and drew a huge response from her more than 430,000 Twitter followers.

The Newsmax story Monday disclosed that the Obama administration has surpassed more than 1,000 waivers to organizations seeking a one-year exemption from new coverage requirements called for by the healthcare reform legislation.

Palin, the 2008 Republican vice presidential candidate, added her own comments to the Twitter forward: “Think WH owes explanation? Maybe you could try asking the Pres.”

She included a link to the Newsmax story.

Among the Twitter comments responding to Palin’s remarks:
  • “Seems we all are exempt if it is unconstitutional.”
  • “Obama’s using health care waivers for campaign 2012.”
  • “Would love to see criteria used in selecting waivers.”
