Oprah Reiterates Her Support for Obama

Oprah Winfrey has been enamored with President Barack Obama since his acclaimed speech at the Democratic convention in 2004. And she still feels that way, the media mogul/TV personality told the hosts of MSNBC’s "Morning Joe" Friday.

oprah,winfrey, obama, support"I'm feeling great about Obama's leadership,” Winfrey says. “I feel that everybody has a learning curve. The reason why I was willing to step up for him was because I believed in his integrity and heart."

That hasn’t changed, she says. “What he really wants for this country is to be greater, stronger, more innovative. I believe those principles are what really enforce his beliefs.”

And Winfrey has advice for those criticizing the president. "Everybody complaining ought to try it for a week," she says.
