President Barack Obama lost some support from Jewish Americans during June from May — 8 percentage points to be exact. But he still has strong backing in that demographic — a 60 percent approval rating in June, according to a new Gallup poll.
And the 60 percent figure represents a statistically insignificant change from his April approval rating of 64 percent. Still, 32 percent of U.S. Jews now disapprove of Obama’s job performance, compared to the average of 30 percent so far this year.
“Gallup's monthly trend in Jewish approval of Obama continues to roughly follow the path of all Americans' approval of the president, as it has since Obama took office in January 2009,” Gallup’s Lydia Saad wrote in its report of the results.
