The GOP will gain at least six Senate seats in next month’s election, according to a memo from the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC), The Hill reports. Republicans would need to add dan, coats,National, Republican, Senatorial, Committee, elections, midterm, senate10 seats to regain a majority in the Senate.

The memo predicted victory for every Republican incumbent and for every open seat formerly held by Republicans.

"Every Republican incumbent running for reelection will win, as there is not a single state in which an incumbent Republican nominee is facing a substantial threat," NRSC Executive Director Rob Jesmer said in the memo. "We also strongly expect to hold every Republican open seat."

There are 13 close races Republican also could capture, the memo says. And Jesmer predicts a victory in at least six of them -- John Hoeven in North Dakota, Dan Coats in Indiana, John Boozman in Arkansas, Mark Kirk in Illinois, Pat Toomey in Pennsylvania and Ken Buck in Colorado.
