Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell will vote for the budget plan written by GOP Rep. Paul Ryan and passed by the House. But he’s not actively urging other Republican senators to vote for it, The Hill reports.

Lamar Alexander, number three in the Republican Senate leadership, who supports the bill, also says, “Every senator will have to decide that for himself.”

Some moderate Republicans are leaning against the bill because of its significant cuts in Medicare. Only four House members voted against the budget, but the number could be higher in the Senate.

One Republican senator told The Hill on condition of anonymity that Ryan erred by detailing Medicare reforms in his plan. “All Ryan had to do was set an overall number and leave it up to the policymaking committees how to come up with the savings,” the senator said.
