So there will be no need for President Barack Obama to veto a repeal bill, he says. “I honestly don't think it will come to that.”
Republican leaders, including Sen. Mitch McConnell and Reps. John Boehner and Eric Cantor, have stressed since the whopping Republican victories Tuesday that they still plan to repeal the healthcare and financial reform laws. Obama said in a press conference Wednesday that Americans do not want Congress to “re-litigate” the battles of the last two years.
