New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is repeatedly asked whether he will run for the Republican presidential nomination next year, and each Chris Christie, Rudy Giulianitime he has emphatically said no. Usually it’s journalists asking him. But the latest query came in a lunch with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, Politico reports.

"We had a conversation,” Christie told NBC’s “Today” show. “He asked me again about what I was going to do. I told him there's no different answer because I'm here at lunch with you than everything I said publicly. I'm governor. I want to be governor. I'm not running for president."

Asked about his visit to Iowa, the first primary/caucus state, next month, Christie said. “I got invited by Gov. Branstad to come out and speak about education reform, which is something I feel passionately about. He's a friend. I'm going to go do it.”
